As the holiday festivities continue at Juniper Village at Brookline Senior Living, staff and residents alike have enjoyed another week of seasonal programs and entertainment.
Recently, residents welcomed attendees from local senior centers to a holiday cookie exchange event. Over forty residents and community members enjoyed the start of the event with a special holiday singing performance from the Good Shepard Christian Preschool. After the program, an hour of bingo was played through the Linked Senior program that Juniper uses as a foundation of programming through their Connections department. Seasonal prizes were offered to each winner of bingo. Lunch was then provided by Junipers dining staff and featured a pasta bar complete with an array of sauces, meats, and pastas. Following lunch more bingo was played and cookies were eaten and packaged to take home.
Then, staff were encouraged to Dress in Festive Flare for the annual staff holiday party. Throughout the day staff and residents enjoyed holiday trivia over the intercom for chances to win prizes that included king size candy bars, scented lotions, and fun printed mugs. Staff were treated to a catered lunch by Paul’s Provisions, a local catering company. In keeping with Brookline tradition, each staff member was given a holiday ham as a token of appreciation for a year of great care and service.
Throughout the year and during the holiday season, Juniper Communities provides its residents, staff, and community members a caring campus, warm smiles, and fun fellowship.
