Juniper Village at Brookline is excited to welcome their new social worker, Brenda Oyler Kim, to the Rehabilitation and Skilled Care community of the campus!
Brenda was born and raised in the State College area and graduated from State College Area High School. She also is a graduate from The Pennsylvania State University with a BA in Social Work. She received her Master’s in Social Work from Rutgers’ University with a minor in Gerontology. She has over 30 years’ experience as a Social Worker in the health care field primarily working with seniors in Acute Care, Dialysis, Home Health Care and Long term care settings. Brenda is a licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of Pennsylvania and a member of the Academy of Certified Social Workers. Brenda has facilitated bereavement groups in the area for the past six years and is on the Board of the Centre County Council for Human Services, President of Grief Connection and on the Board of the Centre County Geriatric Interest Network.
As a Social Worker at Juniper Village at Brookline, Brenda’s goal is to ease residents and their families with the transition into Juniper as well as assist with discharge planning for residents looking to return to the community.
