This was the first time that the Union Canal Elementary School first-graders visited Juniper Village at Lebanon, and the residents were thrilled!
Two buses arrived, filled with children who were all dressed in their finest holiday attire, complete with antlers and festive hats. Their director, Dave Breidenstine, played our new piano, and several students played bells and percussion instruments. Several children had solos on parts, and our residents were singing along with most of the songs. They gave out small gifts to each resident wrapped in hand-colored paper. After they sang, they mingled with the audience, and judging by the looks on everyone’s face, this was the best part! The residents were talking about the children’s visit for the rest of the day, and many of them expressed the hope that they will come back to visit us again soon!
