Daisy Godbee is the Connections Director at Juniper Village at Cape Coral in Florida, one of our assisted living communities. This is Daisy’s personal story…
“I am proud to share that I have been a part of the Juniper Family since September 2006. I was born in France, but came to this country at the age of eight. I am the oldest of five. I have two brothers and two sisters. I am the proud mom of my one and only favorite son, James. My hobbies are watching movies, shopping and meeting new people.
When I moved to Cape Coral from West Palm Beach in 2006, I was genuinely amazed at the friendliness and passion toward our senior population. I am one of the lucky ones who can truly say how blessed I am to have a job that I love so much. Juniper Village has made such an impact on my life.
I work with incredibly caring people, and they honestly mean what they stand for. Nurturing The Spirit of Life is what we all believe and we hold those words true to our souls. My heart is full when we hear from family members, volunteers and team members, about how much of an impact we have made on lives here at Juniper Village.”
Here is just one example of Daisy’s remarkable impact on the people she serves every day: she recently spearheaded a fundraiser for Muscular Dystrophy to honor one of their volunteer superstars who lives with the disease. They had about 48 residents participate and another 50 to 60 students, firemen, home health workers, Care Patrol employees, and family members.
Daisy’s original goal was to raise $500.00, but she didn’t make her goal, she blew it out of the water! The event raised $2,300.00! And perhaps more importantly, it was an uplifting and heart-warming experience for everyone involved.
