Juniper Village at Lebanon residents John and Arlene Fravel were recently honored in a most unexpected way.
They have been season ticket-holders for the Lebanon County Community Concert series for many years, but at a recent performance by outstanding male vocalists Vox Fortura, they were brought up onto the stage for being the longest-married couple in the audience. They have been married for 71 years! The singers said that they ask this question at every concert, and the Fravels hold the record for the most years married at any of their concerts! They sang a beautiful song to them, and in the middle of the song when John reached over to hold Arlene’s hand, the audience collectively said, “Awwwww!” The singers invited the Fravels to stop by after the show for a free CD. It was a magical moment for everyone that afternoon!
