Juniper Village at Brookline’s marketing department is very excited to welcome Erin McDermott to their team. Erin joined the Juniper family back in 2015 when she was a Penn State intern.
Following her internship, Erin stayed on as a part-time Social Services member at the rehabilitation and skilled care setting of the Juniper at Brookline campus. During that time, she also participated in a Think Tank in the summer of 2015, where she had an opportunity to spend time with students in the Netherlands. They were tasked by the Dutch Ministry of Health to analyze timely implementation of palliative care between the US and the Netherlands.
Erin graduated from the Penn State Schreyer Honors College in May 2016 with a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies, and Health Policy and Administration as well as a minor in Gerontology. Following her graduation, Erin stayed in the social services department full time until an opportunity arose for her to expand upon her skill set and transition to marketing. Erin now serves as the point person for assisting older adults and their families are they explore senior living options of personal care, memory care, and independent living and aid in the move-in process.
Erin is a native of Mechanicsburg, PA, and is the oldest of three. In her free time, she enjoys sharing laughter with her family and friends, watching sports, especially Penn State, and being a member of the athletic group, Crossfit.
