The food here at Juniper Village at Lebanon is always exciting!
Living in Central Pennsylvania, we often have to make some unusual dishes, and today was no exception. In preparation for Groundhog’s Day, we each made our own version of a groundhog coming out of his burrow after hibernation. The first ingredient was chocolate pudding with a layer of crushed chocolate graham crackers on top. The groundhog was made out of Milano cookies with butterscotch chips for cheeks and, a nose and eyes made with drops of brown icing. The ears were almond slivers held on by drops of icing. When the groundhog was completed, he was pushed into the pudding cup. Several residents said that they were too cute to eat!
