Juniper Village at Aurora recently hosted a Brunch & Learn with Hometown Neurodiagnostics on “Seizures and Alzheimer’s Disease”.
Hometown Neurodiagnostics is a company that offers neurodiagnostic studies at the comfort of a person’s home, where it is familiar and most convenient for a resident. The neurodiagnostic studies help better understand the dynamics in an individual’s brain to help address various cognitive deficits. We had Dr. Edward H. Maa, who is a world renowned neurologist who specializes in epileptology as our guest speaker. As a neurologist, Dr. Maa is the Chief of Comprehensive Epilepsy Program at Denver Health, and an associate professor at Denver Veterans Affairs Medical Center and at the University of Colorado Health Sciences. He has over a dozen publications including “The case for Medical Marijuana in Epilepsy” and had conducted numerous research studies involving the effects of medications in treating various neurological disorders. Senior professionals attended this presentation and enjoyed a delicious brunch afterwards.
