Did you know that heart disease is the leading cause of death for women in the United States?
Juniper Village at Lebanon joined all of Lebanon County in “Going Red For Women” on Feb. 1st. Many staff and residents were wearing red to support local efforts that focus on three main areas: heightening awareness of the issue, generating funds to support education and research, and creating a passionate call-to-action. The American Heart Association seeks to provide women with the tools and resources they need to reduce their risk for heart disease and stroke. Each year the Juniper staff and residents collect money through several fundraisers to turn in at the Heart Walk in September. We were able to turn in over $1,000 for each of the past two years! We will be trying to break the $1,000 mark again this year, so please join us in our efforts! Thanks so much!
