Art Month Comes Alive

February is Art Month here at Juniper Village at Chatham, and what a spectacular turn-out we had this year!!!

Residents and staff participated in a show which featured artwork in all mediums:  oil painting, watercolors, needlepoint, quilting, basketmaking,  and sketching.  Some of our residents are well known artists in their field, and have earned great respect in formal gallery shows.  Another resident owned her own business that began with pillow making and quilting, and eventually came to be noticed by the Manhattan store, Henri Bendel.  We also enjoyed seeing pictures of wedding gowns that one resident designed over the years in her fashion design business.   Others pursue their art as a hobby.  No matter what their background, all were excited to show their work and share their experiences with others.
